Rabindranath Tagore on Education

Biography

Rabindranath Tagore was a Bengali poet, composer, artist, educator, and Nobel laureate. Dissatisfied with regimented colonial schooling, he founded a school at Santiniketan in 1901 and later Visva-Bharati, conceived as a meeting place for Indian and world cultures. He also developed rural-reconstruction work at Sriniketan.
