In a search engine and generative-AI environment, obtaining an answer is easier than judging one. Curiosity must therefore include source tracing, comparison, and follow-up. Before accepting a fluent response, identify its central claim, inspect the cited evidence, search for a serious counterargument, and explain the result in your own words. If that process changes nothing, the inquiry was probably too shallow.

A practical habit is to keep a question ledger with three columns: what I think, what would disconfirm it, and what I learned. The goal is not to remain permanently uncertain. It is to replace reflexive certainty with earned judgment. Intellectual curiosity matures when the pleasure of discovery is joined to the courage to be corrected.
